PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. (WINK) — The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office arrested a man accused of firing shots at a family-owned vehicle following a domestic dispute in July.
The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office said they arrested George Kilgore III on Tuesday.
Deputies responded to Cape Terrace NW in Port Charlotte after receiving reports of gunshots.
The Major Crimes Unit investigated and learned that Kilgore III, allegedly shot at a vehicle parked at the residence after a dispute with his family.

No one was injured, and no other property was damaged in the incident. Kilgore fled the area on foot before law enforcement arrived, according to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators established probable cause to arrest Kilgore on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and discharging a firearm in public or on residential property.
The firearm allegedly used in the incident was recovered from the residence during the execution of a search warrant.
