Charlotte County deputy sentenced to 12 months of probation after no-contest plea in DUI case

A Charlotte County deputy has been found guilty of DUI and refusing to submit to DUI testing after entering a no-contest plea. According to court records, Scott Clemens' attorney submitted a written no-contest plea on Tuesday. A judge found Clemens guilty on both charges and sentenced him to 12 months of probation, 25 hours of community service, a six-month driver's license suspension, DUI school, and fines. Clemens is also not allowed to use or possess any alcohol and is subject to drug/alcohol testing at his own expense. Clemens has been on administrative leave from the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office since his arrest in May.
