Inside Dr. Irene Gladstein's mobile beauty bus, she invites patients to a new perspective on longevity. "To really empower women and men into feeling better and really bringing how they feel on the inside to the outside world," Gladstein said. From skin care to red light therapy, Project Glammers Express is Gladstein's brightest dream born out of her darkest time. "I failed to choose my health, I failed to choose my well-being," Gladstein said. At 46 years old, Gladstein was diagnosed with breast cancer. "I have absolutely no family history. I had no risk factors," Gladstein said. "When you go through something like that, you're always in a position of why and could I have done better for myself?" While Gladstein's cancer was caught early, the scare changed her perspective on what it means to live a full life. "I want to be there for others. Longevity is not about living longer necessarily; it's about living better," Gladstein said. Today, living better is what Gladstein hopes to inspire in others, as she's inspired herself. "I was working on it all throughout my chemotherapy and my surgery and my subsequent hormonal therapy," Gladstein said. "It gave me an outlet and a purpose. I hope patients feel like a better version of themselves because this is what I think a lot of our patients are missing."
