Okeechobee woman accused of hit-and-run in Clewiston

An Okeechobee woman turned herself in on Wednesday after she was accused of a hit-and-run crash in Clewiston on July 24. According to the Clewiston Police Department, 23-year-old Haley Garcia was identified as the suspect in the crash. The Seminole Police Department assisted CPD as the vehicle was found by Seminole police officers while Garcia was reportedly driving it. Officers said evidence at the scene of the crash also matched the suspected vehicle. According to the Clewiston police, Garcia was given a court date and released. Garcia is facing a charge of leaving the scene of a crash with property damage.
