A Bonita Springs man was arrested early Friday morning after he was accused of doing burnouts in the parking lot of Gulf Coast Town Center in Lee County. According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office's arrest report, Omar De La Garza, 26, was arrested after a deputy said they heard and saw a black 4-door sedan doing burnouts, spinning its tires and creating smoke in the parking lot. The vehicle reportedly started driving away, so the deputy conducted a traffic stop at Ben Hill Griffin Parkway and Gulf Center Drive, the report states. Garza was arrested and faces a charge of violating the street racing/stunt driving law.
