Charlotte County 911 calls temporarily rerouted during phone system outage

A temporary telephone interruption at the Charlotte County Emergency Communications Center has rerouted 911 calls to Lee County on Friday while the issue is resolved. According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, the temporary rerouting will not affect emergency response. The agency said emergency services personnel can still be dispatched to emergencies during the outage.
