Lee County middle school teacher arrested on 10 child pornography charges

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — A Lee County teacher was arrested Thursday on multiple charges involving alleged possession and solicitation of material depicting child sexual abuse, according to booking records.

Graham Freeman, 56, was booked into the Lee County Jail on Aug. 6.

Freeman faces 10 counts of possessing, controlling, viewing or soliciting obscene material depicting child pornography, according to the Lee County booking record. He also faces one count of animal cruelty related to allegedly filming or possessing an image or video of an animal sex act.

The charges were filed by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Freeman told investigators he is employed by the Lee County School District as a middle school science teacher at Success Academy, according to the affidavit.

Freeman's bond was set at $500,000 for each of the child pornography-related charges and $100,000 for the animal cruelty charge.

The case is scheduled for a court hearing at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 10 in Lee County Circuit Court.
