BOKEELIA, Fla. (WINK) — A precautionary boil water notice for about 1,200 residents in Bokeelia has been lifted after a water main break.
The Greater Pine Island Water Association says the water has been deemed safe for consumption by the Lee County Health Department.
The notice had affected residents north of Pineland Road. Residents were advised to boil water before drinking, cooking, preparing food or brushing their teeth while the notice was in effect.
The boil water notice has now been cleared, and residents no longer need to take those precautions.
