A Lehigh Acres man is wanted after skipping his court date following an arrest for stalking. According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, Esequiel Morales Riveron, 35, was having disputes with his ex-girlfriend. The victim said that Riveron went to great lengths to know where she was at all the time. The victim said that Riveron would show up at various locations she was visiting and would text her photos of her parked car at stores to let her know he was watching. In one instance, Riveron pulled up next to the victim at a dollar store and threatened her with what seemed to be a gun, Crime Stoppers said. Eventually, the victim found a GPS tracking device under her car, Crime Stoppers said. The victim took a rideshare to the sheriff's office to file a report so that Riveron would not know her location. Riveron was arrested on charges of invading privacy, stalking, and installing a tracking device. He spent five days in jail before being released under the condition of showing up for his next court date, which he did not. Riveron is 5'8", weighs 160 pounds, and will be held without bond in Lee County Jail upon his arrest. If you have information in this case, you are asked to contact Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477), on the P3 app, or on its website. You can remain anonymous, and if your tip leads to an arrest, you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $3,000.
