Man wanted in Lee County after bailing on court hearing for drug possession arrest

A man accused of drug possession is wanted in Lee County after he failed to show up to his court hearing, according to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers. Crime Stoppers says that Roger Patterson, 65, was initially arrested after officers pulled him over for a traffic stop. Patterson was given a warning; however he didn't leave. Officers say that when they probed further into what Patterson was doing, they found a baggie of cocaine in his pants pocket. Officers also reportedly found rocks of crack cocaine hidden in taffy wrappers. Patterson told officers that the pants he was wearing were not his, and that the drugs were not his either. He was arrested. He was released from jail after two days on the condition that he show up to his next court hearing, which he failed to do. Patterson is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds and was last known to be in the Dunbar area.
