2 juveniles face felony charges after riding e-motos through Naples Target, deputies say

NAPLES, Fla. (WINK) — Two juveniles are facing felony charges after the Collier County Sheriff’s Office said they rode e-motos through a Naples Target store and caused an estimated $2,500 in damage.

Colin Jeske, 16, of Bonita Springs, and Gardner Little, 12, of Naples were arrested on felony criminal mischief with property damage charges, according to the Sheriff's Office. Deputies interviewed the juveniles with their parents present before making the arrests.

“These boys destroyed property, disrupted business and put shoppers at risk,” Sheriff Kevin Rambosk said. “This type of reckless and criminal behavior simply won’t be tolerated in our community. They now will be held accountable and face the consequences of their actions.”

According to the Sheriff's Office, a group of juveniles arrived at the Target on Tarpon Bay Boulevard on e-motos on July 9. Deputies said the juveniles rode mobility scooters designated for shoppers around the store, crashed into fixtures, disrupted shoppers, played explicit music and made profane comments.

The Sheriff's Office said some members of the group returned after being removed from the store and rode e-motos through the store and in and out of the entrance. Deputies said some of the juveniles also performed burnouts against concrete posts outside the front doors.

The Sheriff's Office said the activity left black tire marks on the carpet and extensive marks on the concrete. Deputies also said the burnouts caused heavy smoke as customers entered the store.

The Sheriff's Office estimated the damage to the store at $2,500.
