Cape Coral's Kurt Donaldson Park playground closing Aug. 17 for upgrades

CAPE CORAL, Fla. (WINK)—The playground at Kurt Donaldson Park will close temporarily starting Aug. 17 for equipment replacement.

According to a press release from Lee County, the playground at 180 Hunter Blvd. is expected to remain closed through the end of September, weather and construction conditions permitting.

The playground could reopen sooner if work is completed ahead of schedule, the county says.

The new playground will feature shade, swings, slides, climbing components and other equipment designed to provide children with an enhanced place to play.

Visitors are encouraged to use other nearby Lee County Parks & Recreation playgrounds while the Kurt Donaldson Park playground is temporarily closed.
