Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a shooting at an Airbnb party in Lehigh Acres that injured four people, according to authorities. Deputies said the shooting occurred on Willard Avenue as the party was ending. Video footage shows one shooter firing into a crowd before running to a white Toyota, where a second shooter was firing from the vehicle. Andrew Kallas, a neighbor in Lehigh Acres, described the night. "The noise kept us up. So there was just, like, basically watching TV and, you know, we were just experiencing it all happen," Kallas said. The incident reportedly began with a fight between two women at the party. The arrest report stated that security stopped one person with a gun from entering the house twice. That individual was eventually allowed inside but was later kicked out. "Multiple people were at this event. And there was a beef between parties. Shots are flying in all directions. And again, four people hit," Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno said. The mother of one of the victims shared her reaction after the shooting. "It wasn't until, like, two hours later, when I finally got to see him, I was angry, I was hurt, I went through every emotion as a parent, just looking at my baby, lying there helpless," the mother said. On Wednesday, multiple agencies searched the home of one suspect, leading to the arrests of 20-year-old Jared Williams and 18-year-old Desmond Garlin. Both were charged with attempted second-degree murder. "Between the both of them, both suspects had about 40 bookings, over 40 bookings, violent, violent felons," Marceno said. The sheriff credited license plate readers and numerous SWFL Crime Stoppers tips for aiding the investigation. The four people injured in the shooting are recovering, and the investigation remains ongoing, authorities said.
