SOUTHWEST FLORIDA (WINK) - WINK News Weather Authority meteorologists are tracking a continuation of our hot temperatures with the addition of some more rainfall as we head into the weekend.
Thursday is starting dry and mild once again with temperatures in the 70s. The heat continues Thursday with highs in the lower to mid 90s and "feels like" temperatures between 104 - 110°. A heat advisory will once again be in effect for Collier, Glades and Hendry counties until 7 PM. Isolated storms (30% coverage) pop up in the afternoon and will continue into the evening hours.
Dry and mild for your Friday morning plans with temperatures in the 70s. Plan for another hot day with highs in the lower to mid 90s. "Feels like" temperatures will range from 103 - 109° with some areas likely under a heat advisory once again. Plan for a bit more rain with scattered showers and thunderstorms (40% coverage) in the afternoon and evening.
Starting mild and dry for your Saturday morning plans with temperatures in the 70s. Highs climb into the lower to mid 90s with "feels like" temperatures between 103 - 109° in the afternoon. This heat is going to continue into next week. While Saturday will start dry, more scattered storms (50% coverage) will develop and impact your plans in the afternoon and evening hours.
Tropical Depression Cristobal
Cristobal has weakened to a tropical depression, with maximum sustained winds around 35 mph. The storm has lost much of its thunderstorm activity and is expected to continue weakening over the next several hours. The system is expected to become a remnant low within the next 12 hours before dissipating shortly afterward. Cristobal is currently moving east-northeast and is expected to turn more toward the northeast as it continues pulling away from the United States.
Central Tropical Atlantic (AL92):
Showers and thunderstorms associated with a tropical wave located midway between the Lesser Antilles and the west coast of Africa have become a little better organized since yesterday. Environmental conditions are forecast to be conducive for further development during the next day or so, and a tropical depression will likely form while the system moves westward to west-northwestward across the central tropical Atlantic. Beginning on Friday, upper-level winds are likely to become too strong for development as the system approaches the Lesser Antilles.

Eastern Tropical Atlantic (AL94):
A tropical wave located a few hundred miles south of the Cabo Verde Islands is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Environmental conditions are forecast to be generally conducive for some development, and a tropical depression could form late this week or this weekend while the wave moves westward or west-northwestward across the eastern and central tropical Atlantic.
