NAPLES, Fla. (WINK) — Thrift shopping is all about the thrill of the find, but at one Naples resale shop, every purchase also helps support local families.
National Thrift Shop Day is celebrated Aug. 17, making it a fitting time to explore Avow Treasures, Avow’s high-end resale shop at 9765 Tamiami Trail North in Naples.
To celebrate, the store is offering 30% off for it's shoppers.
The store offers a little bit of everything, from women’s and men’s clothing and shoes to jewelry, accessories, furniture, artwork, books, kitchenware and more. Shoppers can also find designer and higher-end pieces at resale prices.
But the biggest treasure may be what happens after you make a purchase.

One hundred percent of the funds from purchases at Avow Treasures go toward supporting Avow’s mission, programs and patient care.
Avow provides hospice care, palliative care and bereavement support for people and families throughout Southwest Florida.
The resale shop is also powered by community volunteers, who help run the store and create a welcoming shopping experience. For many volunteers, the benefits go beyond giving back. The store offers an opportunity to stay active, socialize and build friendships.
For shoppers, thrift shopping can also be a way to save money, discover unique pieces and give gently used items a second life.
And because inventory is constantly changing, shoppers never quite know what they might find.
Those looking to clean out their closets or home can also donate gently used, quality items to Avow Treasures. The store accepts donations during regular business hours, Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Larger items may also qualify for free pickup.
