Cape Coral man accused of stealing $35,000 from roofing customers

A man in Cape Coral is accused of stealing more than $35,000 from customers who paid him for roofing work. Cape Coral police said Ryan Murphy took checks from customers for a roofing contract with Cape Coral Roofing and Sheet Metal. However, police said the money did not go to the company. Murphy is accused of taking the money instead. He faces three counts of grand theft.
