City of Cape Coral to open new hospital on Pine Island Road

CAPE CORAL, Fla. (WINK) — Cape Coral Mayor John Gunter announced on Friday that a new hospital is being built in the city.

This will be the second hospital in the city of Cape Coral. The first is located on Del Prado Blvd. The new hospital will be located at 322 Pine Island Road.

The new hospital will be built in partnership with HCA Healthcare. This will be the 51st HCA hospital in Florida. 

HCA said the hospital will be three stories tall and will house 100 beds. There are plans for inpatient and outpatient care.

Construction is planned to begin in 2027, with an expected opening in 2029.
