North Fort Myers felon sentenced to federal prison after 50+ guns, hundreds of rounds found in home

A North Fort Myers man was sentenced to more than five years in federal prison after deputies found more than 50 firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition in his home. Frederick Kutchinsky, 54, pleaded guilty to illegally possessing dozens of firearms and ammunition as a convicted felon on Feb. 25. According to court documents, Lee County deputies arrested Kutchinsky after they found more than 50 firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition at his home while executing a search warrant in January 2025. Deputies also said that they found a workbench with firearm parts and tools for modifying firearms. Kutchinsky was sentenced to five years and three months in federal prison and was ordered to forfeit the firearms and ammunition that he possessed during the offense, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
