State prosecutors filed a notice on Friday that they will seek the death penalty for a man who was arrested for the murders of two women in an Arcadia apartment complex. Eric Robinson is accused of shooting and killing Tanika Summers and Barbara Bates, a neighbor who was on the phone with 911, at the Jacaranda Trail Apartments in April. Investigators said Summers' daughter returned home from work to find her mother being held at knifepoint by Robinson. According to authorities, she grabbed a gun, but Robinson disarmed her and used the weapon to shoot Summers. Then, Robinson is accused of shooting Bates while she called 911. Robinson's next hearing is scheduled for Oct. 6.
