Fatal crash near SR-82 intersection closes Immokalee road

IMMOKALEE, Fla. (WINK)— A deadly crash has shut down part of a major road in Collier County.

Florida Highway Patrol confirmed a fatality on SR-29 in Immokalee, near the SR-82 intersection.

The southbound lanes on SR-29 are blocked as of 2:40 p.m., according to the Florida Department of Transportation.

Drivers in the area should expect delays and plan for alternate routes.
