SOUTHWEST FLORIDA (WINK) — WINK News Weather Authority meteorologists are tracking a continuation of our hot and mainly dry pattern through midweek.
Tuesday starts dry with temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s. While Saharan dust will be moving out of the state, plan for another mainly dry day with a stray shower (10% coverage or less) popping up in the afternoon. Temperatures continue to be hot with highs in the mid 90s with "feels like" temperatures ranging from 105 - 110°.
Mild and dry start Wednesday with temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s. While the morning will start dry we will see a little more rain Wednesday. Isolated showers (30% coverage) and a few storms will pop up in the afternoon and early evening. Highs top out in the mid 90s while still feeling quite a bit hotter.
Tracking a wind shift Thursday that will lead to a stray shower around coastal areas through the morning. Temperatures start off in the upper 70s to lower 80s. More scattered storms (40% coverage) will pop up midday and grow in coverage as they gradually track East and farther inland throughout the afternoon. Highs top out in the lower to mid 90s.
WINK News Weather Authority meteorologists are forecasting the chance for a few more morning showers as we wrap up the week and head into the weekend. You can find the latest forecast on TV on WINK News and on the WINK Weather App.
WINK Weather Authority Meteorologists and the National Hurricane Center are not tracking any tropical disturbances at the moment. No tropical development is expected over the next 7 days.
