IMAG combines National Potato Day with National Aviation Day in the form of a potato launcher

Our friends at the IMAG History and Science Center joined Gulf Coast News Wednesday to throw a joint celebration for two fun holidays. Christian and Kate celebrated National Potato Day and National Aviation Day live on air. The starchy carbohydrate took center stage in many different forms: fried, baked, mashed, boiled, and more. While Kate focused on the interesting fact that there are more than 4,000 varieties of potatoes worldwide, Christian was more focused on aviation and wanted to celebrate Orville Wright's birthday. Christian and Kate decided to combine the holidays with the scientific creation of a potato rocket launcher.
