PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. (WINK) — Port Charlotte High School was placed on lockdown this afternoon following a reported threat.
The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office received a threat regarding the campus that required an immediate investigation.
Charlotte County Fire & EMS responded to the school for a law enforcement investigation. Deputies searched all buildings on the campus and found no active threat.
The campus was placed on lockdown while deputies thoroughly investigated the situation. All students and staff were safe inside their secure areas.
