A new set of departure gates is now open at the Punta Gorda Airport in a milestone moment for the Bailey Terminal Expansion project. On Thursday, the Punta Gorda Airport announced that departure gates 7-12 are now open and welcoming passengers. The new gates are part of the ongoing Bailey Terminal Expansion at PGD, which aims to make the travel experience more comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable. Some of the new amenities at the gates include spacious new restrooms, large windows to provide natural light, new family-friendly amenities including a mother's room, and moving the aircraft closer to the departure gates. The expansion project is still underway, and construction continues on gates 5 and 6. The project is also expected to bring a Wolfgang Puck restaurant, a new TSA checkpoint, and more to the airport.
