Despite an early start to the storms near coastal communities, expect scattered storms to push inland Thursday evening. The main threats will be heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds. Another heat advisory has been issued for the Gulf Coast from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. as feels-like temperatures reach the triple digits. Highs will reach the low to mid 90s under partly sunny skies. Expect an early start to the storms again Friday as an onshore wind favors a few coastal storms during the morning commute. By Friday night plans, most of the storms will favor inland communities. For the weekend, we'll see a similar pattern with early coastal downpours and inland afternoon storms. Highs will remain in the low to mid 90s over the next week.
