FORT MYERS, Fla. (WINK)—State Farm is issuing $5 billion back to its customers as part of its largest dividend in history.
More than 7.2 million checks have been mailed in the last few weeks, and another 3.8 million will go out this week. Any State Farm customer with an auto insurance policy in place from Jan. 1, 2025 to Dec. 31, 2025 is eligible for a refund.
Customers with an email on file with State Farm will automatically get an email from the company. The email will come from “donotreply@e.sfdividend.com" with instructions on how customers can receive their payments.
State Farm says customers can choose between digital payment methods through Zelle, PayPal and Venmo, or can opt to receive a paper check in the mail.
If customers don't have an email on file, they will automatically receive their check in the mail.
State Farm says the average refund will be $100 per insured vehicle.
However, the auto insurance officials say the amount varies based on the percentage of the premium the customer paid for on each qualifying policy back in 2025. Those percentages also vary by state, ranging from 4% to 10%, according to State Farm.
Checks have already been mailed out, but more are still on the way. WINK Smart Anchor Mayzie Olson called and left a message to get more answers about when Florida customers could see their payments.
