SOUTHWEST FLORIDA, (WINK) — A McDonald's employee is brightening customers' mornings with her infectious positivity and warm greetings at the drive-through window.
Lois Taylor works the drive-through at a local McDonald's, where she greets every customer with kindness and encouragement. Customer Carolyn Staehle drives past four other McDonald's locations on her way to work just to visit Taylor's drive-through.
"There wasn't a day that went by that was just such a wonderful, loving, positive," Staehle said.
Brian Giuliano, the McDonald's owner and operator, described Taylor as a happy person who sets the tone for the entire team.
"She's definitely loving it, and she makes everybody else that come through love it as well," Giuliano said.
Taylor's morning greetings have become a ritual for regular customers. She welcomes each person with phrases like "Good morning, dear" and "You have a wonderful, blessed weekend, love."
"I'm good, baby. I can't complain. Another day above ground is a good one," Taylor said.
Staehle said Taylor's positivity helps her start each workday on the right note.
"I just feel better right now. I feel like I can go to work and tackle my day," Staehle said.
Taylor credits her faith for her upbeat attitude and sees her role as an opportunity to make a difference in people's lives.
"Being what I am, and thank God who who I am, how He changed me in life. Million more come along, and I can reach out and touch them and tell them it's a better life. They will understand the why I'll be so happy every morning I come here," Taylor said.
Giuliano said Taylor's example lifts up the entire staff.
"She really sets the tone for everybody else, and I think that's what we're most proud of. And you know, having someone like that lead and set that example, it just it brings everybody up," Giuliano said.
Staehle said Taylor maintains her positive demeanor regardless of personal circumstances.
"Everybody struggles from time to time, but she always lets her positivity shine through, no matter what the circumstances may be, even probably in her own life. But she comes to work every day knowing that she just wants to make a difference," Staehle said.
Taylor offered words of encouragement for anyone facing challenges.
"Keep your head up, keep your hand in God's hands, and He will supply all your needs and your wants. Never give up. It's a rainbow out there. Everybody must cross it," Taylor said.
