Breeze Airways set to suspend flights from Fort Myers to Albany for the month of September

Breeze Airways is set to suspend flights from Fort Myers to Albany in the month of September as part of temporary cuts to its route network. According to Breeze, high fuel costs played a role in the temporary suspension of the route. However, the route is expected to come back in October, meaning the airline is only taking a month off from flying the route. The pause comes amid other route suspensions and reductions, including a reduction in the frequency of flights from Fort Lauderdale to Akron/Canton from two flights a week to one. Despite the pauses and cutbacks in certain routes, Breeze is still set to fly a lot more than it did at this time last year. According to Simple Flying, Breeze will operate 6,823 flights in September 2026, in comparison to 4,755 flights in September 2025. Still, Southwest Florida residents seeking to travel to Albany during the month of September will have to look for alternate options.
