Fort Myers police arrested a man accused of arson on Sunday. According to the Fort Myers Police Department, officers responded to a residential fire Sunday night in the 100 block of Williams Street. When officers arrived, they learned that the fire had been intentionally set outside of the occupied home. The fire caused significant damage to the exterior of the house and damaged several items. FMPD said that they arrested the person suspected of starting the fire, Mario Cabrera, 24, at the scene. Cabrera reportedly made statements confessing to setting the fire.
