Laurie Scott, owner of Poured Candle Co. in Bonita Springs, brings everything needed to create your own custom candle right to your doorstep.

Scott said it's important to know what you're putting in your candles. " A lot of people might not know, but a lot of candles contain petroleum, which is not good for people to breathe in. My candles are 100% soy and burn for 40 hours."

The company specializes in hand-poured soy candles and home fragrances, with scents inspired by Southwest Florida, including Bonita Beach, Captiva Sunset and Sanibel Seashells.

But one of Poured Candle Co.'s biggest draws is its mobile candle-making workshops. Instead of customers traveling to a studio, Laurie can bring the experience to a home, clubhouse or other chosen venue.

During the workshop, guests are guided step by step through creating their own candle. Poured Candle Co. provides the soy wax, glass container and customizable fragrances, turning candle-making into a hands-on activity rather than simply purchasing a finished product.

The mobile workshops are designed for celebrations and group gatherings, including birthday parties, bridal showers and girls' nights out.
