A man was arrested in Cape Coral on August 21 after being accused of topping 90 mph in a 40 mph zone. According to the Cape Coral Police Department arrest report, an officer was in the area of the 400 block of Del Prado Boulevard South at around 7:20 a.m. when they saw a car traveling southbound on the road at what appeared to be a high speed. The officer clocked the car as traveling at 91 mph in a 40 mph zone, the report said. The officer pulled the car over and identified the driver as Antonio Bejarano. Bejarano was arrested and faces a charge of excessive speeding at 50+ mph.
