Hidden 4-inch knife, box cutter found on student at Barron Collier High School, deputies say

A 15-year-old Barron Collier High School student was arrested on Tuesday after they were accused of having a knife and a box cutter on campus. According to the Collier County Sheriff's Office, school administration was made aware that the student was reportedly seen with a knife on school grounds in the morning. Deputies also said the student was accused of having a butterfly knife with a four-inch blade concealed in their clothing and possessing a box cutter. The sheriff's office said no threat was made and it believes there was no danger to the school. The student is facing two counts of possession of a weapon on school grounds. Deputies ask that anyone who sees or hears anything suspicious at school call them at 239-252-9300, or dial 911 in an emergency.
