Making waves: Bimini Basin joins Sizzle Dining for the first time

CAPE CORAL, Fla. (WINK) — Cape Coral’s newest waterfront restaurant is getting ready to bring a little extra flavor to the city this September.

Sizzle Dining is returning to Southwest Florida, and for the first time, Bimini Basin is joining the monthlong dining celebration.

The new restaurant sits along the waterfront in Cape Coral, offering guests a place to enjoy seafood, cocktails and plenty of water views. With its laid-back atmosphere and location on Bimini Basin, the restaurant gives diners the chance to enjoy a meal with a view.

Marketing and Advertising director, Kevin Rooney, said Sizzle Dining is the perfect way to explore Bimini Basin, " We opened back in February. We have a laid-back vibe, great food, and a great view. Here it's all about 'dock, dine and unwind."

Now, it is adding a little Sizzle to the experience.

Throughout the month, participating restaurants create special prix fixe menus that give diners the opportunity to try some of their signature dishes at a set price.

For Bimini Basin, this marks its first year taking part in the popular dining event, giving both longtime locals and people curious about the new restaurant another reason to stop by.

Sizzle Dining also gives diners a chance to explore restaurants they may not have tried before while helping support a local cause. A portion of proceeds from each Sizzle meal goes toward supporting children and families in Southwest Florida, " It's important to us here at Bimini Basin to give back," said Rooney. 

With its waterfront setting, fresh food and first appearance in Sizzle Dining, Bimini Basin is bringing a new option to this year's lineup.
