Scattered storms return to the forecast tomorrow, with increasing rain chances for the latter half of this week.
A stray coastal morning shower is possible Tuesday, with temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s. A few coastal storms (20% coverage) will develop around midday before increasing in coverage. Scattered storms (40% coverage) are more likely through the afternoon and evening. Highs will climb into the lower to mid 90s.
Mainly dry and mild conditions are expected Wednesday morning, with temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s. A wetter pattern takes shape Wednesday, with scattered storms (60% coverage) developing throughout the afternoon and evening. Some areas could get quite the soaking, with gusty winds and frequent lightning accompanying the stronger storms. Highs will top out in the lower to mid 90s.
The National Hurricane Center is currently monitoring two areas of interest in the Atlantic.
Satellite-wind data indicate that the low-level circulation remains broad in association with an area of low pressure centered a few hundred miles east-southeast of Bermuda. Environmental conditions are only marginally conducive for further development, but this system could become a short-lived tropical depression or storm through Tuesday while it moves northward and north-northeastward, well northeast of Bermuda. By Wednesday, the low is forecast to move over colder waters, ending its formation chances.

A tropical wave and associated area of low pressure is centered a few hundred miles southeast of the Cabo Verde Islands and is accompanied by disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Environmental conditions are forecast to gradually become more conducive for development, and a tropical depression could form by the middle to latter portions of the week while the system moves westward to west-northwestward at 15 to 20 mph across the eastern and central tropical Atlantic.
