Byron Donalds teases 'special announcement' in several Florida cities Tuesday

SOUTHWEST FLORIDA, Fla. (WINK) — Rep. Byron Donalds will make a special announcement in three Florida cities as part of his Defending the Florida Dream tour.

Donalds will visit Miami, Sanford and St. Petersburg, according to press releases sent out from his team. The announcement comes after Donalds won Florida's Republican primary for governor, setting up a November matchup with Democratic nominee David Jolly.

The first stop is in Miami at the Freedom Tower at Miami Dade College, located at 600 Biscayne Blvd. Media check-in begins at 9:30 a.m., and the event starts at 10 a.m.

Donalds will then head to Sanford at Rotor Blade Repair Inc., located at 512 Dauntless Pt. Media check-in begins at 1 p.m., and the event starts at 1:45 p.m.

The final stop is in St. Petersburg at 11300 Dr Martin Luther King Jr St N. Media check-in begins at 5:30 p.m., and the event starts at 6 p.m.

Donalds is set for a matchup against Democratic nominee David Jolly in November.
