Large law enforcement presence reported on Madison Ave in Fort Myers on Wednesday

A large law enforcement scene unfolded on Madison Avenue at Alderman Street in Fort Myers Wednesday morning. Gulf Coast News was on scene shortly after 7:30 a.m. Wednesday and saw multiple Florida Highway Patrol troopers and vehicles. Additionally, a member of the ICE Observers was on scene and said the scene was an ICE investigation and that ICE agents were present. The scene has since cleared, and Gulf Coast News is working to determine if any arrests were made. Gulf Coast News has reached out to FHP and the Department of Homeland Security for more information.
