Ladavion King, accused of killing 47-year-old Natasha Moses and causing a standoff that shut down I-75, is set to appear in court Wednesday for a pretrial detention hearing. King is currently in Hillsborough County custody. Police said he was connected to the deadly shooting of Natasha Moses, a mother of four from St. Petersburg. According to investigators, King and Moses had been in a relationship for more than 5 years. After the shooting, police said King fled south on I-75. Troopers spotted him in Lee County and used a maneuver near Alico Road to stop his vehicle. This led to a standoff, during which troopers fired into King’s truck. Law enforcement worked for hours before taking him into custody. Prosecutors filed a motion Saturday asking the judge to keep King in jail pending trial.
