Planned power outage in Clewiston, here's what to know

CLEWISTON, Fla. - The Clewiston Police Department is giving residents a heads-up about a planned power outage coming to the area.

Scheduled maintenance at the Clewiston Substation will begin at 12:00 a.m. and is expected to cause a power outage lasting at least two hours.

Utility crews are already aware of the outage and will be working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

If your power goes out during this time, the department says there is no need to call police to report it since utility personnel are already on it.

For any police, fire or medical emergencies, residents should continue to call 911.

The department asks residents to share this information with family, friends, and neighbors so the community is prepared ahead of the outage.
