The City of Cape Coral is seeking public input in an open house for the Chiquita Corridor Project. The project aims to improve safety and traffic flow in the proposed layout between Chiquita Boulevard and Veterans Parkway by increasing turn-lane capacity and reducing backups. The plan also intends to modify intersections along Chiquita Blvd and connect side streets between Cape Coral Parkway and Veterans Parkway. City officials said median areas will be adjusted to accommodate additional turn lanes. Residents are encouraged to attend the open house scheduled for Sept. 9 from 3 to 6 p.m. to review the proposed layout, ask questions, and share feedback with the project team.
