SOUTHWEST FLORIDA (WINK) — The 8 a.m. update is in from the National Hurricane Center.
96L is showing signs of better organization and could become a short-lived depression or tropical storm later today. That probability is up to 90%.
But not to worry. Strong wind shear over the Atlantic will weaken or dissipate the system later this weekend over open waters. It will not make it anywhere close to land as it moves west-northwest.
The next storm name on the list is Dolly. The WINK Weather Authority will be watching this closely.
