CAPE CORAL, Fla. (WINK) — 92.5 FOX News will hold its annual Field of Flags memorial on Labor Day, with ceremonies planned at three Southwest Florida locations to mark the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
The event will begin at 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 7, 2026, in Cape Coral, Estero and Naples. The station said staff, listeners, local leaders and volunteers will plant 2,977 American flags in remembrance of the people killed in the Sept. 11 attacks.
For the first time, the Field of Flags will take place simultaneously at three locations across Southwest Florida.

Jim Schwartzel, owner of 92.5 FOX News, said the anniversary is an opportunity to remember those who died and teach younger generations about the attacks.
“Twenty-five years. A lot of people planting flags this year weren’t even born yet, and that’s exactly why we do it. This isn’t about politics — it’s about patriotism, honoring the people we lost, and making sure the next generation understands what that day meant,” Schwartzel said.
The station is inviting members of the Southwest Florida community to participate in the flag planting.
