Road rage incident in North Fort Myers with gun pulled lands 2 men in jail

Two men were arrested on Thursday following a road rage incident in North Fort Myers involving a brandished gun. According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office arrest report, a deputy responded to a call about a road rage incident in the area of Pine Island Road and northbound US-41 at around 12:20 a.m. The victim told the deputy that he was driving east on Pine Island Road when he saw a pickup truck swerving in and out of its lane. The two vehicles stopped at a red light, with the victim's vehicle in the left-hand turn lane and the pickup truck in the left-hand straight lane. At this time, the victim asked the occupants of the pickup truck if they were drunk due to the erratic driving pattern, the report said. One of the occupants of the pickup truck began shouting back at the victim. The driver of the truck turned to follow the victim once the light turned green, despite being in a straight travel lane. The driver of the truck then sped past the victim, swerved into the victim's lane, and then slammed on his brakes, forcing the victim to take evasive action in order to avoid a crash, the report said. The driver of the truck then changed lanes and became level with the victim's vehicle. The passenger of the pickup truck, identified as Trey Millican, then began yelling out the window, telling the victim, "Pull over, let's go band for band," according to the report. Millican then pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the victim, the report said. The victim sped off, in fear for his safety, and told the deputy that the truck continued to follow him, riding his bumper. When the deputy arrived at the scene, they detained Millican and the driver of the pickup truck, identified as Deaven Sandy, the report said. After collecting statements from the victim, both men were placed under arrest. Millican faces two charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Sandy faces two charges of aggravated stalking.
