PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (WINK)—Three teenagers were arrested hours after breaking into a Punta Gorda smoke shop early this morning, according to the Punta Gorda Police Department (PGPD).
PGPD says officers responded to Harbor Smokes at 2310 Tamiami Trail around 3:30 a.m. The teenagers smashed the front glass door and stole multiple items from the business.
The Punta Gorda Police Department and Charlotte County Sheriff's Office worked together to find the suspects. Deputies used drones to help search for the teenagers, and K9 teams from both agencies assisted in the operation.
All three suspects were taken into custody within hours of the burglary. Police are not releasing their names or ages because they are juveniles.
PGPD says the investigation remains active.
