Search leads to arrest of three juveniles accused of Punta Gorda smoke shop break-in

Three juveniles were arrested by officers with the Punta Gorda Police Department after they were accused of smashing the front glass door of a business and stealing items. PGPD says that officers were called to Harbor Smokes on Tamiami Trail in response to a burglary at around 3:30 Sunday morning. Three juvenile suspects had entered the business after smashing the front glass door and stole multiple items, officers say. Officers say that through a coordinated effort between PGPD and the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, all three juveniles were located and taken into custody within hours. CCSO assisted with drones and K9 teams from both agencies were used for the search. PGPD says that due to the suspects being juveniles, no identifying information is being released.
