SOUTHWEST FLORIDA (WINK) — This week will bring ample opportunities to add to our rainfall totals.
Tuesday morning will feature only a few clouds, with temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. A mix of sun and clouds will allow temperatures to heat up into the lower 90s by the afternoon. Scattered thunderstorms will develop throughout the afternoon and evening, with 60% rain coverage.
Wednesday and Thursday will bring a very similar setup. Over the next five days, most of Southwest Florida will pick up an additional 1 to 2 inches of rainfall, with higher totals farther inland.
In the tropics, Tropical Depression 5 will likely strengthen into Tropical Storm Edouard within the next 12 hours before making landfall near the North Texas and Southwest Louisiana coastline. This will bring no impacts to Florida.
