Sizzle Dining kicks off on Tuesday, with over 100 SWFL restaurants supporting local students

The 10th annual Sizzle Dining event kicks off Tuesday, offering curated menus at over 100 restaurants in the Southwest Florida area while supporting Delivering Blessings in Backpacks, an organization that helps fight food insecurity for kids. One dollar from each Sizzle Dining meal will go toward the organization, which provides assistance to children in need. Guy Clarke, executive director of Sizzle Dining, joined Gulf Coast News at 9 to talk about the impact of the program on businesses and the community. Sizzle Dining runs from September 1 to 30. Last year, more than 87,000 meals were sold during the event, and this year, organizers are aiming to exceed 100,000 meals. To learn more or make reservations, click here.
