A man was adjudicated guilty and sentenced to life in prison on Tuesday for robbery with a firearm in Tice. According to the State Attorney's Office, Jose Enrique DeJesus was convicted after a July jury trial for his involvement in a robbery outside of a home. The victim, a 53-year-old man, reported being pistol-whipped, suffering a jaw injury and a black eye, and having his earrings ripped off. The victim told Lee County deputies at the time that he left a gas station near Palm Beach Boulevard and followed a woman and three men to the house, where they had drinks. The victim said he did not know any of these people before the incident. Brian Wilson was also arrested in connection with the robbery and is a co-defendant pending trial. The Lee County Sheriff's Office investigated the case.
