Naples city leaders to vote on security upgrades at Charlie C. Anthony Park

Naples city leaders are expected to approve funding today for security cameras and license plate readers at Charlie C. Anthony Park, located at the end of 5th Avenue North, as part of a plan to enhance safety in the River Park neighborhoods. The total project is estimated to cost $200,000, with $80,368 expected to come from the Community Development Block Grant. City staff said the cameras are being installed in response to years of requests from residents who have called for more security in the area. The Naples City Council meeting is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
