FWC reminds holiday travelers to be mindful of local wildlife during nesting season

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is reminding visitors and residents that nesting season is still underway for many creatures living on Florida's coasts. Sea turtle hatchlings are still emerging and shorebirds are still nesting on beaches. FWC asks that people stay 50 feet away from nesting sea turtles before they head to sea, and well as close curtains and turn off lights so they won't get confused after they hatch.
