SOUTHWEST FLORIDA (WINK) — WINK News Weather Authority meteorologists are tracking a shift in the weather pattern this Tuesday with onshore flow bringing a few storms through the morning ahead of an east wind that leads to even more storms this afternoon and evening.
Onshore flow is bringing us a few showers and thunderstorms through the early morning hours. Plan for multiple rain chances this Tuesday thanks to a shift in the wind pattern. While the morning showers taper off for a drier lunchtime, scattered storms (60% coverage) are expected for most of Southwest Florida throughout the afternoon and evening. Heavy rainfall, frequent lightning and gusty winds will accompany those storms. Highs top out in the lower 90s.
Wednesday will start drier with lows in the 70s. Plan for a few storms developing midday into the afternoon with scattered storms (70% coverage) expected through the afternoon and evening. Storms will be tracking to the west and head towards the coast through the day. Highs top out in the lower 90s.
Thursday will start dry with temperatures in the 70s. Similar to Wednesday, we'll see storms developing in the afternoon with scattered storms (70%) coverage) expected through the evening. Storms will have the potential to produce some heavy rainfall, frequent lightning and gusty winds so watch out for those threats. Highs top out in the lower 90s.
